uhmm.. yeah something that you'd wear to work normally; but maybe dress it down just a smidge. Not loungy type; just like a cute pencil skirt and a ruffled top to tuck in; and triangle heels. (idk what to call them; like the heels that have the point at the top...where your toes are) \

Well I think smart casual is:

Loads of people for work where suits and spend a fortune and others are real casual like t-shirts and shorts plain in hot weather. And tracksuit and long sleeved tee in cold weather. Smart casual is not suity but looks great and not casual t-shirt wise. Not too casual and not too smart.

It's hard to explain maybe a graphic tee and smart jacket but not worky just designer zipped up a bit. Then designer jeans there nice but not smart and jeans are casual.

Smart casual Dress Code for me i usually wear high heels, jeans and a top with a cropped fitted blazer. Or something very similar the kind of thing you would wear on a date not too OTT but dressy enough to go out in.

smart casual means = first of all its not okay to wear something that is just "causal" to awards. that is just rude. so how can you wear something that is "casual" while being smart? you can't. so why do they say the word "smart casual"? they are trying to confuse you. and make you dumb.

Similar to business casual, just a little more casual. Basically, look neat and tidy and you're fine. When in doubt, dress up rather than down.

If it's for work, I'd go with what you normally wear to work. Slacks or a skirt with a cute cardigan maybe.

it means you should wear a dress or suit but not a dinner suit or ballgown.that would be 'formal' dress
