11 month old wants carried all day, what can I do?
I have an 11 month old daughter (well 11 months next week) and she constantly wants to be in my arms. If I'm honest, it's my own fault really. When she was born I had a 19 month old daughter and so that she wasn't disturbed I used to pick up the baby whenever she cried or whimpered and now I'm paying the price. She's not too bad in the mornings but in the afternoons it's unbearable. I tried to maker her dinner the other day and it was almost impossible because she just wrapped herself round my legs and cried. If I don't pick her up she just sits at my feet and cries and it's getting frustrating for both of us. I've tried to let her cry but even with reassurance she doesn't stop. Does anyone have any tips I can try to stop her crying so much when she's not in my arms? Thanks!

Leave her be. She will cry herself silly for a few days then stop. They always do. Sorry but like everything in life she has to learn. It will be hard but it will work.

Do you have a stationary toy you can put her in, like an exersaucer? I used to put my son in his when he was younger. It provided entertainment while I got things done around the house and kept him out of trouble.
