How long should a person take to move on after a breakup?

Is there a good idea on how long a person should wait before dating again? I was with someone for about 6 years. How long should I give myself?

    but it should take about 6 months for you to be friends again if u are interested in that

    There is no set time for this. Everyone is different and everyone heals differently. Give yourself what ever amount of time you need. You will know when to move on.

    depends on what caused the breakup if it was cheating find someone quickly because it can make you feel depressed
