Will twin size fitted sheets fit a Twin XL bed?

I want to buy new sheets for my bed, but it's been a while since I've looked. I know that Twin XL beds are 39"x80" and Twin is 39"x75", so when I buy new sheets, will the fitted sheet work if I choose a Twin package?

If not, what choices do I have?

Go to JC Penny and ask. You want "longboy" sheets for that extra length. It's possible that the sheets they make for extra thick mattresses would work, but the top sheet would be a little short, and you might get the fitted sheet on the mattress, but it wouldn't fit right and would look and feel funny, and it would be stretched so much you'd wreck the elastic.

Get your sheets at JC Penny. Get longboy sheets. You may have to order. I was in there looking late in the Winter, and they have all horrible colors in=store. But talk with an older associate in the linen department. She will help you order. The better colors are in the catalogue. Penny's has good sheets.

A twin XL bed is 80 inches long, as is a queen size bed. You could use a queen size fitted sheet, just put a seam in it from top to bottom. A Queen size mattress is 60 x 80; A twin XL is 40 by 80. You could also just cut off some of the extra on the top sheet. a full size bed is 52 by 75.

You will need to buy Twin XL to fit your bed. You could possibly buy a fitted sheet for a queen sized bed and tuck the excess in under the mattress. That might be too silly... If you can make due until August I would hit up stores like Target, Walmart or Bed Bath and Beyond. That's usually when they have really good sales for college students with dorm beds.

Unless your sheets are super stretchy, you'll need to buy "Twin Long" sheets. I believe you can usually find these options are Bed, Bath & Beyond or similar stores.

    No.

You ned to wait till summer for the dorm style bedding to come out. You will have plenty of choices then .
