The computer recognized the drive however it kept saying something about code 39 corrupt. I was checking out some forums online on how to help and found this computer tech help website and a guy on the forum said to copy

"LowerFilters"=-
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdr4_2K]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdralw2k]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdudf]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UdfReadr]

Nah not likely. Most of those people on the sites are pretty reputable and are not int in putting a virus on your computer. hkey's are not neccessarliy viruses they are part of the software that runs the stuff on our computer. All you have to do is run a virus scan and a spyware scan and it will tell you the Hkey that are bad. Then delete those. Also I just did a little online research regarding what you did and it is perfectly normal. The person you got that from is 100% legit for giving you that advice. Usually you get crap Hkeys from malicous spyware and maleware not by someone telling you to paste and copy the actual code. You are good, don't worry about it at all.
