As for my Mum...while I'm friends with her now because she's my Mum...I'm not sure we would have had all that much in common. She was a very conservative teenager, went to church, wore frilly homemade dresses, listened to 1950's music and it was the 70's!!...I would have liked her for her gentleness though. She's the most caring, lovely person imaginable.

If we turned back time, so everything was like when my mom was 19 back in '78, then no. If she was to be 19 again now, then yes :D

Until my mom met my dad (at age 23) she was very very traditional, conservative, uneducated and at times, ignorant. I mean, she was probably still as funny and kind as now, but just... She hadn't seen much of life yet.

Now, my mom is the very oppesite of those things, and we are actually great friends. I like hanging out with my mom, and I gossip and talk as much (probably more, even) with her, as with my friends.

So if she was 19, and not my mom, I would deffinitly want to be best friends with her :D

Oh, and my dad... I don't know. I don't know much about my dad, he is very much of a loner, pretty much all I know about his youth I have from my mom.. As he is now, he is very out of touch with a lot of things, and if he was to be that at 19 as well, I wouldn't be friends with, I don't think,,

My mom and I get along so much better now that I'm an adult and we can be more like girlfriends. We'd be friends. My dad's a bit out of touch, so we probably wouldn't be friends.
