dosing aquarium chemicals?
hi
i'm about to add this algae killer to my tank and want to be sure about dosing. it's says to put 1mL of chemical to 1gal of water. i have a 55 gal tank but it didn't take 55 gals to fill, because of the density of my decorations. so should i under dose by a little? like 4mL maybe? or do they expect me to put 5.5?
anyone out there know about this? i'm going to start with 4 and then depending what i can gleam from here, will adjust accordingly.
thanks for your help!
i meant 'per 10 gallons'

It's not critical enough to make a lot of difference. For whatever its worth, when I use algae killer, I assume the stuff is growing some in the gravel and on rocks as well, so I treat the tan's gallon capacity. If you had a half full tank, for frogs or mud skippers or something like that, then I'd use less. I don't think one ml. more or less will matter in in a 55.
