I want to reformat my harddrive but i want to leave Windows 7 on there.?
Just wondering if i can reformat my hard-drive but want to keep Windows 7 on there has i do not have the Windows 7 installation disk, can i do this please, this is not a preinstalled Windows 7 OS.

No there isn't. You format the drive and it will wipe it clean.
Why haven't you got the installation disc? You either have
one when you bought it or you make one from the partition
usually called the D drive.
This sniffs of a pirate copy because that is the only way you
wouldn't have a recovery disc.
The real point is, why do you want to format it for?
If you Ghost the hard drive that wont help because the problem
you have will still be there because all that does is copy your
hard drive as it is.

yes its not the easiest to do but i know what u want to do you can download a bootleg copy of windows 7 and install it onto the hard drive after that you can then go back and delete the remaining os without effecting the windows 7 os any ?s just email

You can back up windows on disc or on an external hard drive. Reformatting will delete everything.
