USB mouse problem(s), need help?
ok so this is like the 4th mouse this year (not 2011 this year, but a course of literally 12 months), ad this always happens to my mice. It works great fo while, then for some reason they just die out on me.
My first 3 just died on me (one was wireless),
Now with this one, when i stick it halfway through the USB port, it does the red light thing on the bottom. But when i stick it in all the way, the light turns off...

Have you tried it in a different USB port? I have a wireless Microsoft 3000 here that I have been using now for over 3 years and the thing I have ever done it is to ever now and then put a new battery in it.
I also have a USB laser mouse that is about 8 years old and stills works fine. I wonder when your other USB mouse quit did you try them in another computer?

Check your USB port it seems to be faulty from what you've said. Try a different USB port as I believe the port you are using is bent in some way. (from what you've said)
