Would NOT EATING actually help weight loss AT ALL?
I'm not asking "is it healthy?" because I know it isn't and I don't care-I'm just sick of being called "fat". So I'm thinking if maybe I only eat veggies every now and then (when my parents force me to eat) or just don't eat at all, then I'll lose weight.
I've tried a bunch of diets and exercise plans and nothing seems to make the fat go away on my thighs and belly. I really don't care about anything but losing at least three inches off of my waist.
So I'm 145 lbs, 15 years old, 5'2" and will Anorexia help me lose weight AT ALL?
Thanks. Jesus loves you.

It would cause weight loss, but that would be due to starvation. You are certainly NOT fat. When you look in the mirror, look at what's really there, not what you want to see, what you think you see, or what others say they see. You do not want anorexia. The disorder and resulting recovery process would take much more effort than losing weight properly. You might even die if you go too far.
You might be consuming more calories than you burn. Consume fewer (but do not starve yourself) and you will lose weight.
With sensible eating and exercise, you can a large amount of weight over time. Also, the body will allow about two pounds of weight loss (not water weight) per week. Luckily for you, that will be about 32 lbs. lost in four months. If this seems fast to you, then be happy, it can be done.
Think of it this way: "x" is the amount of calories you consume, "y" is what you burn. Only if x is less than y will you lose weight. It's simple math.
There is a correct way and a wrong way to lose weight. When you consume too few calories per day, your body thinks that it's facing a famine and it slows the metabolism, so that weight loss is more difficult. This ability has helped man survive for as long as we did. Although food is plentiful today, that feature has not changed.
Therefore, the right way to lose weight is to cut a few hundred calories per day and exercise. Doing one without the other leads to slow progress. Consume whole grains (100% whole wheat bread; plain "wheat" bread is not the real thing) and more fruits and vegetables. Exercise need not be intense; twenty minutes of brisk walking a day, three times a week will suffice. Keep to this plan and the weight will come off slowly but surely. Cutting 500 calories per day and exercising would lead to losing at least one pound per week. In addition, exercise helps speeds up the metabolism, eventually leading to quicker weight loss. But it won't happen overnight.
Although you may want to diet, but a lot of diets require you to restrict yourself to certain foods or keep a very low calorie intake, which is why many diets fail. You could eventually lose weight by starving yourself, but not without hunger pangs, fatigue and possible blackouts. You may not want to wait, but in the long run, losing weight the correct way is actually faster than starving yourself.
Furthermore, other weight loss plans require that you spend money on expensive meal plans or pills, etc. in conjunction with exercising on your own. While the exercise is free either way, why spend you money on unnecessary things? You can simply do a brisk 20 minute walk through the neighborhood (at least three days a week) and eat healthier for about the same cost as what you spend on groceries already.
Finally, throw fatty snacks out of the house. Chips or cookies will not hurt you every now and then, but why have the temptation? Replace them with fresh fruits that can be eaten by hand, such as apples and bananas. In addition, only drink water, milk, and 100% fruit juices. When you're out at the mall, avoid buying a quick snack. Don't take a lot of money with you, just in case.

i battled with anorexia for a ver long time, after going through multiple hospital visits and rehabilitation centers you figure out that it isnt the best thing, but the problem is you dont want to believe it because it is effective. i lost 70 pounds in 4 months once, by not eating and excessive cardio on the treadmill or elliptical, i had an obsession with how much body fat i had too, so i did a lot of weight training. before you result to not eating at all, im a vegetarian now, i never got back on eating meat. if you want to lose weight try that for a little while but also eating 5 small meals a day every 2 or 3 hours, is more effective than eating one big meal a day or even one small meal a day. your metabolism slows down faster than you think it does. if your unhappy with your weight i definitely recommend a vegetarian lifestyle first (your parents willl support that more than anorexia before you totally resort to anorexia). and work out as much as you can, join a gym if possible but if you dont have enough money to do that you could look up simple exercises to do it home, its summer now, so running outside would be great. i know exercise absolutely stinks and we all dread doing it, but it works. if you need any advice or ideas you could email me courtneyv1988@yahoo.com

Nope. When you stop eating the human body thinks that a famine is coming and will actually store fat and you WILL gain weight; And your metabolism will slow down and you want to speed it up!
This is what you need to do
- Eat 1,600 calories a day
- Run/jog 3 miles a day
- Do sit ups/ push ups/ stretch)
You will loose 3-5 pounds a week. If you try to loose more weight then that you WILL gain!

Not eating won't help you lose weight. You'll lose two pounds at first because your body is losing water, and this will make it seem like everything is working, but quickly your body will go into starvation mode, and you'll get frustrated with the lack of progress.
Go with a reasonable diet plan. Not because it is healthier (it is), but because it will work, and it will get you all the way to your goal rather than give you a quick loss of a few pounds that doesn't last.
Good luck.

do a bit of research on "starvation mode"
if you do not eat at all your body will go into starvation mode and
you will NOT like the results. Don't go there!
You can eat enough to keep your body out of starvation mode
and also loose weight. It would help if you can get professional
help like a Doc. or professional trainer but you can do a lot on your own.
don't set up expectations that are too much though, if you are not
working with professionals, expect that you can loose maybe 4 lbs a week
at the MOST, any more than that and your are pushing too hard and risk
hurting yourself ... go at a pace
GOOD LUCK

yes it would. until u started eating again
you would then gain back more weight as ur bodies defence mechanism to protect itself if u ver do it again.
i have taken many health/nutrition courses the best number of pounds to loose a week is 1- 2.
any more than that and ur chances of the diet not working are greatly increased.
diets are **** (ex fat free, high protein diets) just limit the number of calories intake and make sure your exercise output is higher
Best of luck
incase u didnt catch it dont do not eat not healthy and not good for body or mind

Hey let me tell you mine own story :
I was 19 years old with a very thin body :( I was doing gym with protein shakes but nothing helped me. I started growing bigger after 22 yrs and I must say losing weight is much harder than gaining weight.

Well yes it can, but it might not. Some specialist believe that instead of making you skinner, your body will store the food you get, even vegetables and other healthy foods, as fat and you might even gain a few pounds. In other cases, you become so skinny your organs shut down and you may die. So you can try it but it might not help or make it worse. I hope that helped (:

Going low carb is that can encourage weight loss. Limit the carbs (especially polished carbs like muffins and bagels) including a little fat.
