Graduate scholarships still taking applications?
Are there any scholarships open for application for a white male entering their first year for a M.Sc. in mechanical engineering?
There are a bunch of really good government STEM scholarships/fellowships out there but it seems they all had applications due last fall, which was way before i knew i was going to grad school.
I already looked here so dont suggest these: http://www.asee.org/fellowship-programs/graduate

There are plenty, but if you're starting school in the fall (August/September) and you still don't have a scholarship, you might be too late. I was in that ship myself.
Consider applying for an assistantship (you could become a teaching assistant or a research assistant, TA and RA respectively). Talk to the school for financial options. You might want to apply for a loan in the fall while you get approved for an assitantship, scholarship or fellowship in the spring. If you can't, then you might have to ask to delay your studies for a semester, if that is possible.
If you were active in any student organizations or societies, you might want to try those. Some also offer low interest student loans to help you in times of financial distress.
I'm sorry I can't be more specific, but I hope I've helped a bit.
