About 143 million ounces today. Just after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, Fort Knox held almost 650 million ounces.
The US silver stockpile was depleted down to nothing about two years ago. The US has no silver at all any more.

I read somewhere a lot of the gold is gone which is very bad since the doller is becoming worthless

Obama gave it all to China for collateral on the debt and now China is dumping our bonds and keeping the gold.
