1. A Boy Named Sue, written by Shel Silverstein (who wrote Where the Sidewalk Ends, among other things)

3.  That's an easy one!  The Boston Gardens parquet floor.   Basketball Hall of Fame Head Coach Red Auerbach  (Boston Celtics ) believed that floor to be hallowed ground, and when the team left for new digs, they took the floor with them!  He was an awesome coach and hailed from Washington, DC.  My mom was a friend of his.  

I don't have links, just my big ole brain.  Tell your teacher that he/she can email me and I will vouch for the veracity of the information.  

But, seriously, since you have the answer, plug it in!  Don't they teach you anything in school these days?
