How long did sex hurt after you had your baby?
My baby boy will be 11 weeks on Saturday.
We have been having sex since 7 weeks after delivery.
I had a pretty bad tear and required stitches so we took things pretty slow.
I had my post -partum check up with my OBGYN and he said everything looked "great" and healed up nicely.
However I still find sex really painful ! I feel totally normal down there EXCEPT when we have sex, Im just wondering how long I can expect sex to be painful for?

With my daughter I had stitches as well and it took awhile before it didn't hurt anymore I want to say a good 6 months before it felt like before I had her. With my son it only took around 2 months, we started after 3 weeks because I wasn't bleeding and I didn't need stitches.

Because of your tear, it might be a few more weeks before it doesn't hurt. I only had a very small tear that didn't need stitches, and we started having sex again at 8 weeks PP. It never hurt for me.

We had sex 2 months after and everytime it did hurt, but it gradually went away... it stopped hurting less and less everytime. i say 3 months it healed 100%. We bought lubrication and helped alot.
