Fashion styles for teens?
I would like my teenage daughter to adopt a fashion style rather than just wearing the same jeans and t-shirts that the other girls wear. The benefit for her is that I will be more interested in buying her clothes if she adopts some sort of style. She is willing to do this...but we need some information regarding different styles.
Right now all that I can think of is gothic (which she did when she was 12), gothic lolita and harajuku which she probably will not be interested in... there must be a lot more styles that she can choose from.
I would love to have some suggestions. Thank you :).

Instead of picking a style and shopping for clothes that fit with it, how about letting her pick out things that catch her eye that she genuinely likes and formulating what kind of style she has based on that. I think it would be better for her to form her own style instead of following a style like gothic or boho. She can still dress uniquely and different from other girls, but she doesn't necessarily have to pick out a radically different style on the spot.

Well maybe switch it up a bit im a teenager so i would now ..
switch from goth to girly. Maybe something like a black skirt with a pink shirt tucked in and black flatts . I think skirts are Gorgeus !! or try a hippie down to earth with maybe some jean capris and a nice tanktop and add some necklaces anything with a happy tone would be awesome.

she could try really girly, tank tops with skirts, makeup, hair products the whole shabang! or, one of my personal favourites, vintage. a vintage style would make her stand out from the rest! vintage is everywhere at the moment, but only the select few are brave enough to try it! myself, i don't really have a style. and when it comes to dressing for school i am very 'jeans, tank top, hoodie, and uggs'. i don't stand out at school, however when i'm out somewhere else, i look like a completely different person. but, her style will come eventually, don't force it.

i dont have kids, but shouldnt your daughter gradually find her own style instead of deciding right now?
um,
vintage, boho, preppy, tomboy, classic, high fashion?
off the top of my head those are all i can think of...
look on forever21.com for pieces you both like, and build a style out of that. forever21 has pieces for every style:)

it may help to do an editorial on how we are back to the previous kinds like tights and so on. carry some reallly significant those that made extensive statements. (tights...long flowy outfits (hippies)) additionally how white is a summer season colour and black isnt...sturdy success
