What kind of Aquarian heads should I put on my Tama Rockstar?
I have a Tama Rockstar drumset, it's got a 13" mounted tom, and a 16" floor tom, I also have a Blank Panther snare drum, I can't remember the exact model. I know I want to go with clear heads possibly with one of the built-in sound ring things(sorry I don't know all the technical names xD). I kind of want to get a sound that the drummer from Blessthefall has with his toms, I'll post a link. price doesn't matter at all to me, I'll pay as much as they cost. I've been having trouble finding heads the whole time I've been playing, Aquarian has been my favorite company so far, so I'm going with them.

Aquarian heads are best for a muted and low tuned type of sound. If that's what you're after then the Performance II head is the way to go. I wouldn't really recommend that for the snare unless you really want to tune it low. I like very little muffling on a snare drum so it really pops when you pull a rim shot. If it were my kit I'd put the Perfromance II heads on the rack and floor toms, a Super Kick II on the bass and a Focus X on the snare. Good luck. PS, I'm looking for a name for my new blues band and I may just have to steal your YA handle...how cool is the name Soul Boogers!!
