Reblooming Bearded Irises, Superstition?
In 2001 I planted some bearded Irises of the variety Superstition at my home in western Arkansas, zone 6b. Ever since, they have consistently rebloomed. Have blooms in late November and early May. No one else around me seems to have reblooms on their Irises. Are some varieties more prone to rebloom than others? Or is some element in the soil a factor? Just wondering if anyone knows. Thanks.

Like most flowers they only should bloom one time. but there are lots of new breeds of flowers that you can get that will rebloom if it says rebloom then it reblooms. I can never seem to find reblooming irises.. so want to give me yours. lol just kidding

Yes there are a lot of reblooming irises! check out joyfulirises.com for a huge amount of them also , the key to reblooming irises, is you will have to have more than one iris, to have reblooms. a iris only blooms once than slowly die, but producing babies, or other irises as she passes away, so it would be one beside her that will bloom again in the fall, is she bloomed in the spring.

They seem to grow very well in your planting zone. They are one of my favorite top ten flower plants.
They are known as Re-blooming Iris. They appear in the spring and again in mid summer.
See web site above for more varieties and colors of Bearded Irises.

it may be greater effective to plant them now besides the actuality that that's a sprint previous due. Bearded Iris are quite good even while dormant. they're going to in all likelihood do ok. even however, in case you plant them in the autumn they might dry out earlier you have of challenge to plant them.
