Show foot alternatives?

My dog seems to have a little trouble getting grip on the stage. I thought some show foot spray could help, but I'm out and nowhere near me to buy any.

Any easy to find alternatives?

Update:

No pet stores around :(

I'd order online, but no time, 4 more shows this weekend. Could have some for next week's shows though. They aren't dog shows, he's playing Sandy in the play Annie.

Walking Lady, that's a good idea. Wonder if I can get my bank to donate or sell me a tub of that. Go figure our office supply store just got bought out by a company who decided a small retail store here wasn't part of the business plan. :(

If you can't find paw wax, people also use a product sold as office supplies made for people who sort money or documents as part of their job - called Sort Kwick Fingertip Moistener - its a bit sticky.

I've also heard of people using glue stick, but I'm not sure about that one. Just because its not toxic to people doesn't mean it isn't toxic to dogs.

Most music stores sell rosin......used by violinists and that is part of the basis of several foot preparations that I've used for showing.

In the dark ages when I started showing we would use hair spray on the pads to make them sticky. That was before pad wax etc.

I used paw wax which was easy to source at any pet supermarket.

Can you buy it on-line? Or buy some when you go to your next show, before you go into the ring?
