How to avoid diarrhea on a flight?

I am going to be flying for four hours tomorrow and am really worried about my IBS flaring up. I will get horrible diarrhea after I eat, but sometimes I won't at all. I was thinking of taking an anti diarrhea (I don't take these often) because they plug me up a little, or not eating at all. I think not eating would be the best route for me but I will have been awake for 8 hours when I finally get a chance to eat. I don't want to be starving, but that is a much better option than having diarrhea on a plane. What do you guys think I should do?

There are two underlying things that worsen IBS. One is the food you eat, the other is stress.

    Food-

Avoid fatty, sugary, oily foods. They will make it worse. Don't drink alcohol. Stick to plain food like rice crackers and drink plenty of water.

    Stress-

Do what you can to relax. Breathe in and out slowly and count to 10. Breathe in and extend your stomach out, breathe in and suck in your stomach to make your tummy skinny. Listen to your iPod and think about nice things.

Don't starve yourself and if you have to then take some anti-diarrhea medication. You could ask a pharmacist for a more natural/herbal/supplement to do the same thing that might be a bit nicer on your insides.

    Good luck =]
