I am trying to decide which part of the US I will move to...?

I will be finished my degree course in university in two years time. I am studying English literature and Spanish, and I plan on spending some time living in the US, before I go back home and do a TEFL course so I can go to Argentina to teach English as a foreign language (living in Argentina permanently is my long-term aim). It's a long way off but my parents are worriers, and they would prefer if I started planning well in advance before making such a massive move. I plan on spending about two years in the US, however I don't know which state would be best to live in. I think I would like to live in or near a city, but I'm very unsure about where to travel to, and I also need to work, obviously.

I'm just brainstorming at the moment, so I'd be very grateful if you guys could maybe give me a few helpful suggestions of some nice, fun places to live! Thanks!

Update:

ez80227 - Obviously I realise that the US is large (although I wouldn't call Argentina 'tiny'). However, like I said above, I'm just brainstorming, seeing what people are saying and then look into it further myself. I'm not coming on here to get other people to make the decision for me..

you do realise that the US is pretty huge, especially compared to tiny little countries like argentina...?

you will get so many responses about certain areas w/o any real idea of what you seek.

so, depending on what youre' after, for instance, i live in colorado, it's mostly cooler and denver is a small 'big city'. we have enough illegals here to make 'english as a second language' a good career, and most people are happy and friendly. the dry climate is nice adn the winters have enough snowe to be fun.
