Yes it would take more gas to start the car. it"s the same with a light bulb. When you turn one on it will take more electric. Than to just leave it on.

They say if you are going to be stationary for more than 3 minutes turn it off.
A lot of cars now turn off and restart at traffic lights or when you stop, you have no choice in the matter, so racing starts will be a thing of the past

Your first answer is right on the money
Wear and tear plus pumping more gas to start is not what you need Suppose you don't even start too?
Leave it in neutral and let the battery charge fully if you have accessories on. At least that's what I do.

It would depend on the car and engine involved and the length of the light. It does not use more gas if you are on a motorcycle with a 1000cc or smaller engine.

Of course it does.
Nevermind the wear and tear you're going to put on all the rest of the engine components. The battery, starter, etc....
