Lawrence Welk, Charles Ives, Canada?

Many years ago I was given some information that was so monstrous I decided it couldn't be a lie. A story like this could not be made up by a human, it is beyond our skills. My Question: Did Lawrence Welk conduct the Premier of Charles Ive's second symphony in Canada?

See what I mean..... who could make this up?

Scary - and was that without or without the Bubble Machine? Was there a wordless female chorus for the Lennon Sisters? And was there a subsequent piano concerto planned for Joanne Castle?

This is gonna keep me up all night-I had better put on headphones with Canadian all-news radio - the original auditory soporific ("Today . . . in Ottowa . . .the Prime Minister said . . . ).

Seriously - is this in the same area as Benny Goodman playing the Mozart Clarinet Quintet (which actually was pretty decent!)

Can't wait for the real answer.

I wish I could help, but cannot, other than the construct reminded me of that palindrome, A man, a Plan, a Canal: Panama!

If true, it would be one of those monstrous (your word) realities the facts of which it would be too cool to know and back up with sources!

It is beyond scary - it conjures up maximum surreal Felliniesque nightmarish visions, such as Mamianka has already so graciously provided....

Best of luck verifying this odd-duck combo, or banishing a bad dream :-)

    Best regards.
