Y&R: Has anyone else heard that Maura West is leaving Y&R?

yes I heard she was leaving I also heard Melody Thomas Scott who plays Nikki is leaving also

Yes she was let go from her contract near around May 25, 2011. I never watched her on Y and R but loved her on As The World Turns.

"Two-time Emmy winner Maura West is out at The Young and the Restless. Though the actress was wildly popular during her run as Carly on As the World Turns, insiders report that West didn't catch on as Y&R's Diane. West first appeared on Y&R in October 2010.

Though she's less than a year into her run on The Young and the Restless, soapcentral.com has learned that two-time Emmy winner Maura West (Diane Jenkins) has been let go.

According to Soaps In Depth, West is out because the actress "just couldn't get the same lightning to strike twice with her Y&R role." The magazine states that insiders found that West was "miscast" in her role on the CBS soap."

CBS let her go from her contract from The Young and the Restless because they felt she just didn't fit in playing the part of Diane.

Yes, it was on a couple of different sites. I just didn't think that she a good fit as Diane. Perhaps they should have created a new character for her. She was great on ATWT as Carly.

The whole show is barely hanging on by a thread anyway and will like be the next to hopefully GO. I stopped on the channel after about 4 months of watching and find our NICK slept with Diane and now she is going to claim it is Victors? Sheesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I heard she was leaving cause she wasn't doing to good on Y&R but moving to BB is a surprise to me, how can she do any better on that soap?..we'll just have to wait and see..Most of us didn't like her anyway..=)
