needed excel/computer expert?
is there a way to make excel boxes update to something on the internet? like if i am doing a golf pool and want the scores to come from the internet, is there a way to put espn or golf network into a box and have it update automatically?

Hi,
This solution doesn't always work but without getting involved in some annoyingly convoluted VBA code to do what you're after this will hopefully suffice.
Excel has the ability to import external data from the web that you can click on to update. To do this click on Data>Import External Data>New Web Query. Navigate to the page and follow the prompts. In 2007+ it should be on the data ribbon (guess).
This lets you choose a table to import to excel and you can update this by right clicking it and selecting refresh.
Sadly you can't always choose the table you want (depending on the way the webmaster has written it) so you might be stuck with the whole page.
This is as good as it will get without some complex VBA code to do this for you. I don't think you'll find anyone to write it for you but you might be able to find it by surfing the net. A good starting point might be:
