internet normal when i first load but slows gradually?
Ok I have a dell and im running windows xp. I have roadrunner internet service...I use firefox browser but lately when i start surfing on the net my browser either stops responding completely or takes forever to load. I can close the browser ... reset the computer and it speeds it up but it gradually slows again. I have run avira for viruses ( nothing found) I have run malwarebytes (nothing found) I have run superantispyware (nothing found) also ccleaner cleaned history and checked registry for errors (nothing) I have also put my computer in safe mode and run all my programs and still nothing. I have defragmented and cleaned everything...So now what? What could be slowing me down. My windows system runs smoothly no lag there ... just the internet seems to be problematic to me. Any suggestions on what to try next?

Check into adding more RAM. XP-era machines tended to come with 512 meg of RAM. My two were getting very slow but seemed to be using relatively little CPU time. I figured they were using more and more I/O time to swap running programs in and out of memory. I investigated and found I could bring them both up to 1 gig for almost nothing. Did and they're both running much better now.
Make sure your machine can handle more RAM, and get the exact type (not brand) that's specified for it. You may be able to just add two sticks or you may have to replace the sticks you already have with bigger ones.

so everything is fine in ur computer, good.
k now check out if anything can e done with the service provider settings,
or your internet package may be about to expire.
if u have got unlimited data package, the server will be in high speed to a certain limit but gradually slows down, especially when u download something.
eg: say u have got unlimited package , u can access high speed net for upto 15gb, after that limit u net speed will be gradually slow.
check out if got this problem first.
