What should I do about top teeth getting filed by bottom brackets rubbing against the teeth? - Braces?

I've had braces for over a year and a half, and when I close my mouth/smile/ect. the edges of my top teeth touch my bottom brackets. Now my two front teeth are getting filed down - only where they touch the brackets. Is there anything I can do to prevent further damage? I've worked really hard to keep my mouth clean and healthy, and don't want teeth that are worn down from contact with brackets. Please help!

inform the Orthodontist....he /she may have to reposition the bottom brackets to avoid the friction / interference.
