How should I cut my hair?

Okay, so I want to cut my hair a little above my shoulders, but whenever I cut it short, it tends to look rather bulky. I have straight hair, but it's really thick and I have a lot of it. How can I tell the stylist to cut my hair so it won't look so bulky.....should I tell her to layer it or.....??

layers will rid you of the bulky look. short chunky layers are fun but remember you cant always pull them back. long layers are usually the safest route to take. they are fun and you can still pull it up for the hot summer days. It is easy to keep up and maintain too.

thinning can be dangerous! be careful. when you thin hair...it will grow and you will then get scraggly ends and thick at the base near your scalp. it is Truly a choice...just remember to only do it every other time you get a hair cut or you can severely damage your hair and it takes forever to grow out a bad cut. :)

tell her to layer it. trust me i have the SAME problem. I have dark brown hair and it's REALLY thick. You can also tell her to thin it out a little. she'll so it by just grabbing a comb and feathering it so it's a little less thick but trust me in a few months it'll grow bck.

    Hope I helped,

Get layers if you want them and ask her to thin out your hair. This works wonders for me and always leave my head feeling so much lighter!
