How can I download a browser without a browser (Windows Vista)?
Ok, here's what I did. I wanted to create a new user on my computer, and delete all the files and programs I had, because I thought it would make my computer run faster. So on my old user, I went through my programs and deleted all the ones I thought were unnecessary or that my computer could run without. That included Firefox and Google Chrome. I thought that I would still have Internet Explorer on my new user. I created my new user, gave it administrator status (from my first user), took away my old user's administrator status, logged on the my new user, and deleted my old one.
I know that was stupid but now I've got only one user with no browser (somehow IE isn't on it). There is an icon on my desktop that looks like a little globe and says "Internet," but absolutely nothing happens when I click on it. I tried using "Control Panel" to switch my default browser but it doesn't give me any options.
And yet, I'm posting this question from that very same computer. How? I went on Google Earth and clicked "Help" because I remembered that the help page for Google Earth is on the internet. I can browse around the internet from this page even though it has no adress bar (there's a link to Google on the help page and I used it to search for Yahoo Answers).
I tried searching Google for different browsers but when I click on the download links I get a message telling me I have to click the "Open in Browser" button at the top of the screen in order to download them. But nothing happens when I do that!
I can't use Google Earth to access the internet forever. I want a browser with an adress bar and the ability to download things. I know I could purchase a boxed version of a browser and install it but I would really like to avoid that. What should (or can) I do?

dont panic, its there. you always have internet explorer, as it is build into windows.
open "my computer"
in the address bar where it shows the location of the file, delete everything and type google.com and hit enter. you now have internet explorer!
if you're sure that internet explorer is not listed in the programs list, then open my computer and go to c:/program files/internet explorer. there should be a link that says "iexplore." you can always right click that and create a shortcut on your desktop or start menu.
depending on what version of windows you have, you can also right click the task bar, select properties, click customize, then select use default settings. this may restore the iexplorer link on your start menu.

if you don't have another computer do download one with then why not try running Windows Update? It might offer Internet Explorer.
Also try typing 'iexplore' into the search box on your start menu in case you've only lost the shortcuts and not the browser.
With the 32 bit version of Windows it should be here:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
or here with the 64 bit version:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

You always have internet explorer. But to keep things simple here's another simple solution:
-Download the installation file of the browser you want on another PC.
-Put the installation file on a USB disk or any other devide you can put files on.
-Run the installation file on your PC and install the browser of your choice.

Uh...i don't know dude. I bet u can go to best buy and buy a browser package or talk to a best buy dude. I don't know where your located but if u don't have best buy go to an electronics or computer store and talk to them. Or just look on your computer for a "reset all settings" deal. You can always buy a new desktop likes windows or Mac but idk if it come with a browser.
