Who is a bigger Rock Star?

On paper, it would seem to be Eddie Vedder. In the early '90s, Pearl Jam consistently outsold Nirvana; their music was more popular. Pearl Jam has put out nine studio albums; Nirvana put out only three. Eddie's music career has been going strong for 25 years; Kurt's music career lasted less than 7.

But perhaps none of that matters, because Kurt Cobain is a rock martyr. He's seen as the embodiment of grunge music, as the main person to create an entire genre of music and completely change music history. In many ways, his death elevated him to a kind of music sainthood. I think most people, on that basis, would answer this question "Kurt Cobain."

Kurt Cobain hated being a rock star, so he would probably not want to be remembered as one. Eddie Vedder by default.

I agree with Adrian V. , Kurt was the antithesis of a Rock Star, so I have to go with Eddie.

But I think the last real Rock Star we've had was Axl Rose (the Appetite For Destruction version, not the one from Chiinese Democracy :p).

Kurt. He died and never got to make a crap album or go on a golden oldies dad rock tour.

I like them both but i think kurt might be more influential to most musicians.

i think eddie is taller and weighs more than kurt did.

Its a matter of opinion. I like curts voice more because... well nobody sounds like curt and he puts so much emotion into it.
