Movies..Which is your favorite Jack Nicholson movie..?
...if you could pick only one, which would it be?
This evening, I will have an opportunity to revisit years gone by as I will be hosting a small get together where the movie "Easy Rider" will be screened. It got me to think about Jack, and his extraordinary contribution to the world of cinema.
With twelve nominations [eight for Best Actor and four for Best Supporting Actor], Jack Nicholson is the most nominated male actor in Academy Awards history. Only Nicholson and Michael Caine have been nominated for an acting [lead or supporting] Academy Award in five different decades: 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. With three Oscar wins, he also ties with Walter Brennan for the second highest-number of Oscar wins in acting categories [all of Brennan's wins were for Best Supporting Actor].
So, that said, what's your one fave of Jack's?

...even tho the women steal the show.
As I recall ~ and it's been awhile since I've seen it ~ it was really the first time Jack stepped out as 'middle aged' Jack... and with the long hair and ponytail... well, it just worked. Nice transition / bypassing that first midlife crisis.

wow i didnt realize he was nominated so many times, dam, thats crazy.
my favorite movie of his probably has to be The Departed, i dont know if that is his best performance, but as a movie its my favorite. I think his best performance is in the Shining, just something about him in that, hes funny but totally insane.
