Alternative to highlighters?
I'm taking a couple history classes over the summer, and it looks like highlighting in the textbooks will be the best way to consolidate the material. Even the professors are telling us to do it. However, I'm trying to switch into a history major, and I'd like to keep the books relatively clean for later use after I'm done with the courses. Is there an alternative way to mark books without the permanence of ink?
I've looked at highlighter tape, but I don't think I could remove it without tearing the pages.
