How many Ants would it take to carry away a human child!?

How many Ants (any kind really) would it take to carry away a human child, around the age of 10.

I am just curious about it, I have seen 1 very small ant carry away a moth 20x it's size and who knows how much more in weight

Also sorry, not exactly sure what Category this goes best in. I tried to find "Why would you want to know that?" category, but doesn't seem to be one... Lol

the average weight of an ant is 3 milligrams = .003 grams. They say an ant can carry up to 50 times its weight. Just to be safe, let's say 25 times. So one ant can carry 0.075 grams. Let's say that a 10 year old child weighs about 70 pounds which is about 32000 grams rounded off to two significant digits.

32000/0.075 = 430,000 ants rounded off to two significant digits.

So let's say it would take about half a million ants.

Could they really do it? Probably not.

The call is likewise in "Cantonese", being it relatively is made in China. Small field approximately 3" long a million" extensive, orange, yellow and black. try a ironmongery shop. Impossible. A human is much a more dense. The amount of ants under it wont be able to support it. If the child was stretched out a whole lot then maybe its possible. However that is impossible too.

it would take about 1 or 2 million ants, if they were to be stacked on top of each other, the thickness should be maybe 5 or more feet. it would necessary to get a ladder for the child, because he would be short to get on top of the ants.

say an ant can left X grams

and say that a child is 40000 gram

    then the number of ants u need is = 40000 / X

u can do simple experiment and substitute for X

Oh your talking billions! But I think density is the problem and also you run into the problem of squishing the ants to in the process lol
