Are there highly paid armed security or federal security guard jobs in NYC?
I am looking at relocating to NYC. I am currently a licensed armed Federal security officer with experience as an Special police officer in DC, I am also a nationally registered EMT-P. I am looking for jobs in the law enforcement field paying at least 40,000 a year. any suggestions? Thanks!

To the people that say security isn't a dangerous job, obviously, you have never held such a job. It IS a dangerous job. A lot of the time, security officers are the REAL first responders to any given situation on any given day. They deal with drunks and druggies and domestic issues, just to name a few of the situations they see all the time. They don't get the respect that they deserve at all. People make snide, nasty and cruel comments but who's the first one that they'll turn to when they're in trouble? It won't be the cop or fireman, who's going to take several minutes to get to the scene of the trouble. No, it will be the security officer who is already on the scene. And before any of you say that I don't know what I'm talking about, I know a heck of a lot more about it than most of you. I was a security officer for nearly ten years.
