Where can I buy gluten-free beer other than Red Bridge in the New Jersey area?

My partner is gluten-intolerant and can't drink regular beer. He regularly drinks Red Bridge (made from sorghum). He likes it well enough, but it's the only kind he can ever find around here (we live in Northern/Central New Jersey) and I think he's kind of sick of it.

I found this page online...http://www.glutenfreedietfoods.com/beer_list.html.... it lists a bunch of other gluten-free beers but it doesn't give much information about where they are available, and whether you could order them from another state (I don't know what the law is regarding shipping alcohol, but I'll research it if it becomes a possibility).

He used to be able to get the Ramapo Vally Honey Beer (http://www.rvbrewery.com/html/honey_beer.html) and likes that a lot, but it seems to have disappeared.

If anyone knows how to get a hold of any of these beers or any other gluten-free beer that's worth trying, I'd appreciate your help!

--Rhys

P.S. In case anyone was going to ask--my partner and I are both of legal drinking age (although I hate beer, myself). I am 26 and my partner is 30.

    Hi,

The owner of the blog http://glutenfreedairyfreenj.blogspot.com/ is a regular contributor to my site with good gluten free suggestions around NJ (inc. stores). I can't gurantee that he would know if there are other places stocking nice GF beers but maybe it's worth dropping him a line and seeing.

    Hope that helps

    Hey Rhys,

If there is a Whole Foods anywhere close, they carry gluten free beer. The Gluten Free Beer Assoc is working on a solution for finding gluten free beer, you will find them at glutenfreebeer dot org. If you have other questions feel free to post or send in a question to the Assoc.

I don't think I have. My diet consists of mostly grains and dairy. A lot of people seem to have allergies or sensitivity to wheat, but it's one of my favorite foods. Although I do wonder sometimes, what would be different in my body if I stopped eating wheat and cheese. Maybe the bugs might stop biting?
