What are the ways to visit Saudi Arabia?
I used to live in the kingdom from 2003-2009 and I have always wanted to go back to visit some old friends of mine. I was wondering if there was anyway of getting a visa to go to the country seeing how my dad is no longer working there anymore. I heard you could get a formal invitation from someone over there and take it to the embassy to apply for a visa, is this true?
How long does it take to get a visa?
Is it hard to get approved?

If any of your friends are Saudi then you could try to get them to sponsor you as a worker (i.e. as a driver) just to get the visa. Have them look into that. Otherwise the above answer is correct.

You asked this question a couple days ago already. Saudi isn't open for tourism yet! Invitation letters are issued from companies to invite business friends/partners, etc.
Private persons can be sponsored by family members only unless you are a Muslim and obtain a Haj/Umrah visa through a recognized travel agency.

yes i do agree with previous answer. You have 2 option either umrah visa or Haj Visa required to for personal travel. If not, you have to get some invitation from your family members who must be your blood relation.

Some ways to visit Saudi Arabia are by airplane, helicpter, jet plane and fighter plane...
