short/choppy layers for thick hair?

I have a friend who has especially thick hair. She had it a bit past her shoulders, and she was hoping to cut it into a pixie style. Everyone kept telling her not to do it, because it wouldn't go with her hair texture and it would overwhelm her face.

She proved everyone wrong though, and did cut it. She got it considerably thinned and it looks fantastic. Since she did that, I really think with a talented stylist, you can make your hair work.

You get get it thinned out without looking thin. The point of thinning is to make your hair stick to your head more, and to be more manageable. If it's naturally thick, taking some of the bulk off won't instantly change your hair texture.

Just ask a lot of questions as you're getting it cut, and keep an eye on how much is being taken off. Definitely get it thinned out; it will do wonders.

you're precise, it would want to finally end up searching messy at the same time as your hair isn't straightened, sorry! quite in simple terms get a lot less "uneven" layers, get universal ones for wavy hair. At any price, ask the hairdresser for suggestion. tell him what you elect, and which celeb's look you want, then he will be in a position to point you. Afterall he's a professional. =)

I have thick hair and, I got layers. It doesn't really do anything but it does make your hair look thinner just a tad.

It won't look like that if you have thick hair UNLESS you get it thinned out.
