Does it snow a lot in Boulder, CO? Fort Collins? Denver?

I live in Idaho, and I am thinking about moving to CO. I've heard that there is a lot of snow, and I have heard there isn't that much. Where I live we get about 4 feet of snow that stays on the ground the whole winter. Does it snow for a day and then melt, or does the snow usually stick around for a while?

Some winters are mild, some are awful, but, generally snow melts in a day or two. It is not like places where the snow stays on the ground from the day it falls til spring. Most of the time, it is gone quickly...just not every time.

The mountains in colorado sit west of the major cities and absorb all of the bad weather and cast what's called a "rain shadow" on Ft Collins/Denver/etc. If it weren't for the mountains to pick up 400 inches of snow a year, Denver WOULD be an extremely snowy place. However, the cities themselves are not any more snowy than most major cities in the US. There are usually a couple blizzards in spring, even in midwinter the snow does not pile up because of the intense rays from the ever shining sun.

Denver could be the enjoy where in actuality the shine may sunlight 300 days of year. Denver is a successful national scene, varied neighborhoods, and natural elegance mix for the world's many magnificent playground and with hotelbye you can see getting there. Denver is the spot for: World-class attractions, organic wonders, growing arts world, lots of modern and acclaimed restaurants and nightlife options galore. Denver definitly got it all. In Denver you are able to look at the Mount Evans and the Mount Evans Highway. The Mount Evans Highway is just a periodic road which is closed during the winter months

In colorado you can have 4 seasons in one day, the snow usually melts pretty quickly if your not on the plains or in the foot hills. but from december- febuary and sometimes even march unexpected blizzards can come and pile 3 feet of snow on you in a few hours
