When Protestants and all other non Catholic Christians?

kneel and bow before their beds to pray are they worshipping their beds?

Update:

Luca, Thank you for what you do. Stay safe

Update 2:

Eric, Iam accused all the time of worshiping a Crucifix because I kneel and bow my head before one. Iam not worshiping the Crucifix. Iam showing respect to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and talking to Him. My question may sound ridiculous to you but it is not to me especially when Iam accused of idolatry on a daily basis.

Only the non-Catholic Christians are. that's because they believe that kneeling before something is worshipping it. Therefor, they knowingly worship their beds when they kneel before it to deliver prayers to The Lord our God.

Since Catholics believes that kneeling is just a sign of respect, it is not a form of worship (to the bed) to kneel beside the bed and pray to The Lord our God.

No. However, to a naive observer it might appear to be bed worship.

Similarly, a naive observer watching a Catholic kneel before a crucifix might imagine the Catholic to be praying to a carved piece of wood. Of course, that too is nonsense.

Since the Reformation, Protestants have misunderstood the role of images in worship. Fortunately, they usually don't erupt into a frenzy of iconoclasm, destroying precious artwork in churches. Some, however, do snipe at Catholic artwork in this forum.

Well, it's either kneel on the floor and lean on the bed edge, or buy a prie deux. Sure. Just run right over to Walmart. Alternately, you might want to use a padded armchair to lean on, put your prayer book on the seat.

Traditional Catholics of Trent have kneelers

LMAO, now they're going to force themselves to just sit on their butts while praying so that they can tell you they're not kneeling before the bed and thus not worshiping the bed.

It is hard saying nobody wants to own up to it. Yet I have seen dozens of photos of people kneeling by their bed to pray. It might be a case of pillow worship. I know I have seen a lot of people clutching them on trains and planes.

Your question is only as ridiculous as the protestants accusations of our worshipping idols, or "graven images" as they like to "quote the Bible" to show their alleged orthodoxy. Keep up the good work. God Bless you.

You should do what you think is proper.Christians can be cruel and have a opinion about everybody and everything.God loves you that won't change. It is good to know that you spend time with Jesus to worship him remembering he paid for our sins and died on the cross. Don't worry about what they say or what they do, stay focused on Jesus.

When I was raised Methodist, my parents taught me to kneel and pray "Now I lay me down to sleep." But no I was praying to God, not the bed.

I've seen football teams kneel down to their coach and pray before a game. Are they worshiping their coach?

Careful about blaspheming The Inner Spring!

I'm just now finishing up a course in Art History. Are people aware that ancient burial tombs contain intricately designed representations of beds and pagan gods? That means these people bowing and kneeling before their beds are carrying on pagan traditions and worshiping false gods.

And I'm pretty sure there is some Bible verse about not making beds that look like beds.

Most protestants really don't do that anymore. Since God is everywhere we talk to Him just like He is everywhere.
