Repossession is the only choice. Contact a repossession company in Memphis and authorize them to pick it up. Or you can go there yourself and get it. After you have it back, sue in civil court for money owed to you.

I'm not going to scold you. You are doing a pretty good job of that yourself.
First of all, the car is in your name. It is your car. If something happens, you are responsible. Your insurance won't cover it unless the driver is also named on your insurance policy.
He didn't really steal the car. You let him have it. Call the the Memphis police to see if there is anything they can do. Probably not.
If payments stop, the bank will eventually repossess the car. If that happens, give the bank his contact information.
Your legal rights would be to sue him in civil court for what he owes you. But of course, you would need to find him first,
Good luck

yea, you are in quite a predicament. I really don't think there's anything you can do short of just finding the car and getting it back. You could take your contract to the bank to protect your credit but this is not going to be easy no matter what. The car is still registered and insured in your name...they may have warrants for you in memphis because of what he did in your car! make note to self and try to avoid such things in the future. You likely don't have good info on the guy!
good luck.

Call your insurance company and immediately stop coverage! Yes, call the police and they can run his license number, find out any information from post office in the town you were mailing to as to a new address. When you get the new address, send him a certified letter of taking him to court. File with the courts and sue him!
I'm sorry your in such a situation, I hope you learned a lesson in all this. Trust no one! Good Luck! :)

NO you can't legally report it stolen. They DID NOT take the care without your permission.
EVERYTHING about this transaction was done COMPLETELY wrong. As it stands, YOU would be 100% liable if he KILLED someone in the car, and your insurance would not have to pay a dime. Your ONLY legal option is to actually find him, and file a CIVIL case wherever he is.
Also note: YOU are guilty of breach of contract with your bank for selling the car without paying off your loan IN FULL.
