Why does my computer keep running into problems installing updates?
I have a Toshiba Satellite using Windows 7 and for the second time since I've purchased it, it is not installing updates. It attempts to install them and then fails. It says something like, "errors found Code 643". In the past updates happened automatically and I never had to pay them any attention. Now I have to get intricately involved with my routine updates huh? This is progress? What a bunch of garbage. I don't have patients for this.

Turn off auto updates.
go to the folder,
C > Windows > SoftwareDistribution > Download
You need to delete everything in there.
But DO NOT delete the folder it'self
then navigate to,
C > Windows > SoftwareDistribution > Data store.
delete everything in there but DO NOT DELETE THE LOGS FOLDER.
open the Logs folder and delete everything in there.
Run this Fix > http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9665683
Note this Fix it Solution has two modes Default and Aggressive.
You should run the Fix it solution in Default mode .
go back to windows updates and turn it back on.
now restart the computer.
still failing ?
repeat the above but this time run the fix in Aggressive mode.
