Do I need a new passport if I change my legal address?

I have checked travel.state.gov and there is no mention about correcting your passport if you change legal address. So my situation is I am changing my legal address, do i need to make corrections on my passport as well? There is no where on the website that deals with this issue, if i do have to make the corrections can you send me a link to how i would go about doing this.

A change of address in only required in countries with a compulsory registration requirement for their citizen. The United States do not apply to such a system, you may freely reside in the country wherever you desire. You just will need to show your new address for postal purpose when you apply for the renewal of your passport..
