when should I get my 3d/4d ultrasound to find out gender?

no, wait until at least 18 weeks because even though you "might' see a gender at 16 weeks, the percent of error is much higher, so if getting 3D4D ultrasound (which I assume you are paying out of pocket) then I would highly recommend you wait ideally 18-21 weeks is when it is good time to find out. My sister-in-law went in at about 16 weeks and they told her it was a girl and to everyone's surprise, it was a boy!

There is an ultrasound place in my town that swears they can tell gender at 14 weeks using 3/4D. Many of my girlfriends went at 14 weeks and I'm going next week so fingers crossed!

If I were you go for it, 3d/4d ultrasound would look way better anyways, why be anxious for 6 more weeks, but they say that gender always shows best from 18 weeks+ so idk I got mine from a regular ultrasound at 18 weeks...

I'm in the same boat. I'm 12w 4 d and my doctor doesn't do an ultra sound until 20 weeks but i want one at 16. I'm gonna tell her at 16 weeks that I have pain so she can do one and i will see lol. just a little white lie.

Well I found out the gender of my son at 16 weeks...it was obvious ...with this pregnancy I will find out the same time

Its tough to wait however the u/s will be much more accurate if you wait a little longer and you will be able to see more defined features on the baby if you wait until they are more developed. I personally wouldn't go anytime before 18 weeks.

18-20 weeks is the best. If you are having a little boy his testicles have just begun to drop and a babies vulva is it's a girl can look very swollen. Wait till the genitalia has formed more.
