Should we CHANGE the gender roles?
I'm only talking about changing it in 1 aspect: Who asks who out.
At the moment, guys are expected to ask out girls, but I think that BOTH should do it.
Hear me out... sure, everyone loves being asked out (both guys and girl) except for maybe a rare 1% of guys.
And guys get just as shy as girls so there is no reason why guys should ask out girls MORE, right?
Also, if more people ask each other out more often, less people will be single and lonely :) Biology is useless to quote in these situations.
And I realise that "things won't change any time soon" but this is at the moment hypothetical. What do you people think?

LOL i know what you mean....i dont mind asking guys out, i think its fun :) yehhhh i agree other girls should do it too BUT what ive found is that i doubt it will 'help things change any time soon' BECAUSE guys dont ask girls out often becuase theyre shy right? Well ive found that sometimes guys dont accept a girls invitation out because theyre too shy. Shyness is the root of the problem! it dosnt matter who asks whom out first if everyone is shy!!! u get me? lol. Guys and girls alike need to take a chill pill.

I agree with you completely. I never understood why it has to be the guys job to ask the girl out. I think we've come far enough as a society where girls can ask out too.

I also agree, it really shouldn't matter who asks the other out. The important thing is if they both like each other or not.

Girls do ask. I asked my husband out first. Grant it...he turned me down again and again. Haha. But finally he asked me, admitting later on that he turned me down because he had the perfect first date planned for us, and it was VERY perfect. <3
But I asked my husband to marry me. And he said yes! So I think it's just good ol fashioned traditions that haven't all the way yet died out. They will one day. Just not today or tomorrow.

I think its a good idea, although most of my female friends already do a the majority of the first moves in their relationships! I think that if you like someone you should go for it & stop waiting for them to do something about it!
