Question for good mechanics...? water in engine..?

i was on the freeway and the engine suddenly overheated...

i immediately pulled over and then noticed that it was leaking coolant from the engine.

after towing the car home ( 2003 FORD FOCUS 2.0 single cm ) i saw that the hose from the freezer plug at the back was blown.

the car had been stuttering before that kinda of running ok then stutters as if it wants to die out.

now i replaced the hose that was blown but after pulling out my plugs i saw that there was coolant on my plugs...

i removed the plugs and turned the engine and water/coolant jetted out from the cylinders, a good amount...

there is no coolant in the oil... and also the upper radiator hose a while back had been bulging near the thermostat. it was pretty old so i replaced it.

also before this incident the coolant would disappear bone dry from the radiator tank and when i started to open the radiator cap/tank (in the focus models they have combined the cap and tank ) the water would start filling back to the tank as the pressure would ease up till it would literally fill back up and pour out...

kindly throw out what u suspect th problem to be...

PS: trashing the car or a new engine is absolutely off the table and yes i know FORD stands for Found On the Road Deserted :) !

Update:

hahaha...mdk68! fix or repair Daily!

Your engine is fried. It has been overheated before. It sounds like the head gasket is shot. I'll bet there's alot of miles on it, and it sounds like maintanence was an afterthought.

  • that can be one of three things or a combination of at least two of them after i get done, ill give you a few more meanings for FORD. it could be a blown head gasket, a cracked head and or block.

    ford. for only retarded drivers.
