A message to people who think kids grow up too fast?

Okay I get where your coming from, but I'm 16 and even I think kids are growing up too fast.

Personally when I see a girl no more than 11 years old walking around wearing a pair of hot pants and a crop top, with extensions and a full face caked with make up it makes me feel sick. I think that kids should be allowed freedom yeah go to the pictures with your friends, yeah go out and have a laugh, but there is wearing clothes to look cute and then wearing no clothes making you look like a whore. It is making little kids look a lot older than they are and there fore older guys are looking at them and checking them out and out right perving on them and its sick.

Then half of the stuff kids say like young kids swearing and making sexual references its disgusting, kids should be having fun with their friends and having a laugh not swearing every other words they say and shouting sexual references about.

And as far as things go on the sexual front compare the number of teen pregnancies now to the number what 20 even 10 years ago and it proves that young kids in their early teens are going out and having sex, being irresponsible and getting knocked up, its sick that you can walk down the street and see a girl at 14 who is heavily pregnant and it is considered normal.

Kids should be kids and I'm not saying run about and play tag or hide and seek, just sit and talk or have a laugh with your friends. But it is when little girls go about wearing little clothing showing off their bodies at a young age encouraging sexual advances with their faces full of make up and skin lathered in fake tan, and young boys swearing every second word, and teenagers walking around pregnant that I consider growing up too fast. I'm 16 and I look at 12 year old now and half of them have boyfriends/girlfriends and are doing stuff that even I wouldnt do at my age and that is what I would consider growing up too fast.

Yes , i see your point in the world we live in today, but yes kids do grow up too fast i have a teen.

Children are sexualised through the clothes that are on sale at an early age and exposed to stuff that we never were as children. Yes there were pregnancies, but not to the extent there is today, which is odd considering we have loads of education on that now. Kids now forget how do all the silly childlike stuff that we did and it is such an important part of being a well developed adult. Play improves confidence , socialising , co-ordination , such as skipping. I think now looking around at some of my kids friends there is the proof they are depressed not able to cope with life, some suicidal. risky behaviour. sex too young, then it emotionally it damages you!

Kids are not allowed to climb trees [ they don't want to be sued ] what has gone wrong is that we are all money grabbing, never being happy with what we have , we pass that to our kids. Yes you do want want to grow up fast but maybe that is society as kids cant have a childhood , as we are all afraid to get sued and health and safety is mad in fact it is ludicrous. So i don't blame you, this is all you know xx p.s We don't have any rules anymore ! Anything goes ! Whatever happened to personal responsibility? , no control , no standards, if something goes wrong its ok we can sue them ! Try and work harder at school , you maybe able to change the world. I would say when i was younger i had to grow up fast just cause of stuff and for my age (15) i would say i know alot about live compared to another 15 year old who has grow up with an average life - family all together, no drugs/smoking around you, ect ect)

Well you are 13 and i dont think you should be running around playing tag :L Well me and a few friends one night when bored played tag :L (ranging from 13 - 16 years old)

I am the same and i enjoy sitting and talking with a few friends in a park or just around...

Also i use to love wearing black - skinnys, hoody - but the i got too hot in summer (black conducts heat) so i know i have changed abitty from when i was younger. But i do love wearing White :)

I do think somethings teens/kids are growing up to fast like sex and stuff cause i know som girls who are just complete sluts! :L

I completely agree with BringMeKaty. I'm 16 and would definitely say that a lot of younger children are trying to act much more grown up, or what they believe grown up to be, too early. There is nothing wrong with going to the cinema, just sitting and talking to your friend, or talking maturely, it's the amount of makeup some girls wear, the clothes kids wear and their language and attitude. They try to act really cocky and act as if they know everything. Seriously, when I was 12, although of course some people acted a bit more grown up, it was definitely not as bad as it is now.

all the things you mentioned are completely true, im with you on that one.

the only reasons "you people" think kids are growing up too fast are:

all the teenage crim going on around the world.

teenage pregnancies on an ever increasing level.

make up going overboard with teen girls.

increase on cultures and lifestyles, ie; being gay, being "emo" or "rocker" or "raver" etc.

increase in technology - adults see computers and social networking as very business like, (if you get me), and too "grown up" for their babies.

to be fair, i cant say im not in the middle of the grew-up-too-fast crowd,

at 12 i was shaving my legs and other areas, had my hair styled and was wearing minimal makeup. and i was chasing boys.

at 13 i discovered my sexuality, and was having relationships - not sexual.

at 15 i was introduced to sexual relationships.

underage. thats all "you people" see it as, black and white writing on a page, declaring whether a person's life is right or wrong.

You are growing up way to fast! That's not allowed! Go hit some hoops with sticks!
