How do you feel about all those work out commercials & how they only focus on the upper body?

I saw a Bowflex type of commercial, & didn't see any type of lower body workout, & as a devoted cyclist it kind of bugged me. People in the commercial were obviously in shape, but they could have been legless for all we know. Does America not care about the lower body as much as they do the upper body? what about around the world?

BQ: Any funny cycling stories?

Update:

lol only a fool would believe that John... just had to ask this because it's as if the legs are now irrelevant to mainstream society's version of exercise.

Do you really think those people just use the equipment they are advertising. They spend a lot more time in a real gym then you think.

Most men think that the upper body is all that matters because thats what they show off to woman. However when you work out your legs, they release testosterone into your body, (and legs are a very large producer of testosterone) so when you work out your legs, you help the rest of your body produce muscle. Some Bowflex products have leg attachments, but they only work your Quadriceps. Canada approves of leg workouts, and at the gym we make fun of the guys with "Chicken Legs".
