can death growling once damage your singing voice?
now before today i never even heard of death growling. im in choir and i sing really good. today my friend told me to try to death growl and he showed me how it sounded. i tried it once and it felt really raspy. then my friend tells me it can damage my voice if i do it. i called him a fruitcake and now im worried about my voice since im in chambers and have a lot of singing to do?

No, I can't say that death growling once will damage your singing. I am a frequent death growler, and I myself have been afraid of that, I have been doing it for about a year now thanks to Opeth, lol. But I haven't heard or noticed any damage to my voice. The thing is, there are different ways of doing, but no, doing it once shouldn't do any damage that you can't recover from, and recover from quickly at that too.
