Where do i play music to be discovered in nashville?

Hello,

Im a country music singer that moved to nashville in 2018 and am ready to be discovered by any local record labels in the area. My music has matured to the point that i believe my album would be enjoyed by most that listen to the genre. I have had many gigs in coffee shops but have not been approached by any record label representatives, so I'm guessing that they drink their coffee in the office and do their scouting at nights. Can anybody tell me what bar i should be playing at so that I will be contacted by a record label executive?

Thanks in advance.

I wish I knew. It is easier to find a following at the churches these days. I have told young people previously here on Answers to play in the churches to get performance experience -- all the churches stayed open and all the worship bands played all the Sundays last year while the bars were closed. It might be a thought to put together an old-timey bluegrass gospel band as a side gig. I found an old 1930s song book of revival camp songs that I really wish I could find a guitar play to learn and sing with me - revival would be a big hit right about now.

But ------- are you a singer singing old hits or are you also a songwriter with something new? I was just lamenting today I miss the 2000s country rock -- the FUN songs. People right now are desperate for fun, desperate for humor, desperate for something to change this cloud of oppression. We do not need more drinking whiskey songs, we don't need more, "hey girl" songs, we need songs to get people to get up and go outside again. We need people to believe in baseball, hotdogs, and apple pie again. We need songs to get people back together instead of driving wedges between them. We need songs to get people standing up and cheering again. Maybe it is a thought to get with a songwriter and start writing songs about starting up life again. When you find the fun in your songwriting, people will find you. Good luck though.
