well a lot of reason comes in mind and one of them will be the one you just describe, to be more confident and get the ladies on your side but also for me will be to have more muscle to intimidate someone else and have my muscle control the food intake so that i don't gain weight, muscles help your body control your weight gain, muscle gain is good for your body cause your muscle will absorb all the food you just ate instead of letting you go stay and stored in your fat system. thats why i need to add about 10 to 15 pound of pure hard muscle but for now I'm ok, I'm just working to get my abs again, so far i got 4 out and the 6 are coming out and working on the last one, soon i will have 8pack abs and that will sure get more ladies attention on the beach. lol. good luck.

I starteb b/c I was tired of being fat and wanted a body that i could be proud of. i was tired of being treated like a fat person and there is also a certain mindset to being fat, which i wasn't too fond of. there are people who are fine being fat, but a higher percentage of fat people are unhappy with their bodies than people who are fit
