Why do Ghost Hunters only look for ghosts at night?

If you're looking for a serious answer, I'm going to try to help (and not be kind of irritating like the other answers on here).

They search at night, because that way they have a solid set of hours to work, without worry about their investigation being marred by daylight, or daytime sounds - the birds, screaming playing kids, etc. The less they leave to chance, the better.

Plus, this way they can drive and/or fly (depending on Steve, of course) to their destination, and not have to scramble to set up and work (or, if they don't get there before nightfall, so they don't have to wait 8+ hours for daylight to come around).

By searching at night, they can use their equipment - the thermal camera, the camera with night vision, etc - which has the tendency to pick up more things. This gives them the opportunity to explore the houses without interruption (as sometimes, they have the family sleep elsewhere, and other times, they work quietly while the family sleeps), as well as leave the equipment for a few hours so they can rest, as well.

ghosts sleep during the day and stay awake during the night!! waking them up during the day makes them angry so they attack!! so night os preferred over day!!

it is also said that ghosts go to satan during the day to get orders and do their evil deeds they return as the sun sets and stay at the home or haunted house all night!! maybe they are afraid of the dark too!!

strengthens their false belief as at nightime the brain can play tricks if combined with anticipation of unknown, strong belief and fear
